Terms & Conditions
1. INTRODUCTION:
By engaging with Document House for drawing services, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read this document carefully.
2. NATURE OF SERVICES:
Document House is not a registered designer or architect. We are a drawing business that creates architectural-style drawings based on client-provided sketches and reference images. These drawings are intended for use as a reference for architects and builders but cannot be submitted as official architectural drawings.
3. OWNERSHIP OF DESIGNS:
Clients retain ownership of all designs created using Document House services. Clients are solely responsible for obtaining any necessary permits and approvals in accordance with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) or other relevant regulations.
4. SERVICE COSTS:
Clients agree to pay the fixed costs associated with each stage of the service, as outlined on the Services page of our website. Any additional alterations beyond the allocated changes per stage will incur an extra hourly charge of $50 per hour.
5. TIMEFRAME:
The timeframe for completing documentation may vary depending on the complexity of the project. Document House will communicate any changes to the estimated timeframe and seek client approval before proceeding. We will work diligently to meet the agreed-upon timeframe to the best of our ability.
6. CONFIDENTIALITY:
Both the client and Document House agree to keep any confidential information received during the course of this agreement confidential and not disclose it to any third party, except as required by law.
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY:
All intellectual property rights related to our services, including but not limited to software, technology, designs, and documentation, remain the property of Document House. Clients are granted a limited license to use the service solely for the purpose of creating architectural-style drawings for their own projects.
8. DISCLAIMERS:
Document House makes no guarantees or warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of our services for the client's specific needs. The service is provided on an "as is" basis. Clients are responsible for verifying the compliance of their designs with local regulations and requirements.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
In no event shall Document House be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the service, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of data, or interruption of business operations, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
10. GOVERNING LAW:
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Australia. Any legal disputes arising from or related to these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
